Coming from the north, the welcome to Amantea is provided by the view of the Scogli d’Isca, a WWF nature reserve. The town has an ancient area, set on a rocky hill, where the town’s most beautiful and interesting monuments are located, and the modern area, laid out on mostly flat land where commercial activity predominates.
The climate, mild for most of the year, allows for an extended summer in September and October. At the end of a lively and festive summer, Amantea moves into an autumn and winter period full of religious and social events. All this, along with the values of friendship and hospitality that have always distinguished our country.
